Filler Dissolving (Hyalase) in Leicester

Dermal fillers can be dissolved by injecting a small amount of an enzyme called Hyalase, this is often known as filler dissolving.

It works instantly by breaking down the filler to soften the area that was treated, with an aim to return to the pre-filler look. It is most used to correct lumpy or overfilled lips or any other irregularity causing bumps after filler treatment.

DERMAL DISSOLVING FAQ’s

The dissolving ingredient is called Hyaulronidase, this dissolves the main component of dermal fillers which is Hyaluronic acid. It helps the body to break it down and disperse the filler. Once injected into the skin, it starts to work straight away to diffuse any unwanted filler.

The dissolving ingredient is administered through a small fine needle which can be uncomfortable. To minimise any pain we can use a topical anaesthetic to help numb the areas before dissolving. As with any injection, there can be some bruising, swelling and redness after the treatment that can last a few days.

Results can be visible straight away and are optimal at around 48 hours post treatment.

We recommend a minimum of 1 week post dissolving treatment before any re-treatment is carried out.
